Prasiolite
Green Amethyst & Diamond Ring

Prasiolite is a green-colored form of quartz, usually produced by artificially heat-treating amethyst. It is known with a variety of names: green amethyst, vermarine, Green Quartz, or Lime Citrine.

The name Prasiolite is derived from a Greek word, "Prason" that means leek because of its similar color, and “Lithos” meaning stone .

Green Amethyst is said to have healing properties and it attracts prosperity through strengthening the mind, emotions and will

Green Amethyst has beautiful colors from pastel yellow green to deep forest green and is reasonably affordable. However, it is not used very often in jewelry except by collectors.

Green Amethyst is mostly mined in Brazil and Arizona (US).
